Asset Management & Procurement coordinator

We are currently looking at hiring an Asset Management & Procurement coordinator

Job summary :

  • To manage the day to day asset management service delivery to customer, under the guidance of the Asset Manager, in line with contractual requirements and customer expectation.
  • To schedule new pc installations and end-of-lease replacements
  • To manage stocks level and provide reporting
  • To handle hardware repairs and returns to suppliers
  • To manage software licenses and software baseline
  • To handle and follow up hardware and software requests from end-users
  • To handle Procurement including creation of SAP requisitions
  • To assist and back up IMAC admin function (also reporting to Asset Manager)

Duties and responsibilities:

    Operational and Asset Management
  • To position the Computacenter/customer relationship as a partnership, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the business requirements/perspective and customer’s expectations; and taking ownership of asset management requirement.
  • To plan and organise the required resources and facilities to meet customer and employee satisfaction standards.
  • To organize goods reception and stock management
  • To track hardware during full life cycle of the assets, from acquisition to disposal
  • To organize labelling, tracking and return of leased assets
  • To track software installed on pc’s and licenses purchased, and create counters to reconcile the two

Major challenges:

  • Keeping the Asset Management database up to date as a complete live repository
  • Encouraging employee motivation and involvement in asset management tasks and updates to the database
  • Working with customer’s different groups to coordinate creation and tracking of assets (hardware and software), even if workflow are different or non existent

Education and experience:

    Knowledge
  • Very good command of English Language and ability to apply this in written form.
  • Understanding of the main IT platforms and their application
  • PC literate, ability to use MS office applications, particularly Excel to a good user level
  • Exposure to PC architecture
  • Experience in using a Service Desk tool and/or an Asset Management system is a plus
  • Previous experience in IT procurement is a plus
